Who we are
The Anchorage Association is the external support group for The Endeavour, made up of Parents, staff and volunteers. The aim of the Anchorage is to raise funds to assist the school in projects that they identify as a means of supporting pupils and to enhance their learning experience.
In the past the funds raised have helped finance the sensory room and sensory trail. They are also pay for the year 11 leaver’s annual trip as a way of celebrating their time at The Endeavour.
Most recently the funds raised were used to purchase a set of class iPads and storage trolley. This is proving to have a real impact on the learning and enjoyment of pupils.
What do we do?
The Anchorage raises funds in a variety of ways throughout the school year. Previous events have included:
- A fire walk
- Team entry in the Brentwood fun run
- Bingo nights
- Quiz nights
- Band nights
All of these events have combined with our two big events, the Christmas Bazaar and the Summer BBQ and bounce, to raise funds that support school projects.
Another way in which funds are raised is through the 200 Club. The 200 club is open to all. You simply buy a number which is entered into a monthly draw.
The first prize is £20, the second prize is £10. Individuals may buy as many numbers as they wish and pay in advance at the rate of £1 per number per month. If you would like to purchase a number and join the 200 club, please contact the school office.
We are always looking for new ways to raise money for the school. Please let us know your ideas.
If you or anyone you know who would be interested in supporting Anchorage activities and events by, taking an active part; helping to raise funds; donating items, or any other way possible, here’s how.

Ways to do this include: helping with preparation and at events, suggest ideas of ways to raise much-needed funds, finding raffle prizes and, of course, attending events the Anchorage put on.
If you are a local business who would like to get involved with helping raise much-needed funds for this very special school, we'd love to hear from you. This can be through anything from sponsorship of an event to providing prizes. We are open to suggestions and look forward to hearing from you, plus we always recognize our supporters in any publicity associated with the event and through social media.
